YouTube going to launch a video gaming website and apps

Now YouTube is tryng to seek influence over Gamers. YouTube is launching a site in an attempt to take on Amazon's Streaming service Twitch which allows gaming fans to interact with live broadcast of others playing games. YouTube owned by Google was last year beaten by Amazon's bid of $970m offer.

In a blog post, YouTube Gaming product manager Alan Joyce said: "On YouTube, gaming has spawned entirely new genres of videos, from let's plays, walkthroughs, and speedruns to cooking and music videos. Now, it's our turn to return the favour with something built just for gamers."

YouTube Gaming will consist of 25,000 individual game portals which bring together all the activity around each title on a single page. YouTube Gaming's launch will initially just be in the US and UK.

Google will be hoping the new services will lure gamers away from rival Twitch which currently dominates the market for live online broadcasting. Around 12 billion hours of live gaming are watched on the site every month.

"YouTube gaming is built from the ground up for gamers, by gamers, " said Wyatt. "No longer is gaming going to be lost in a sea of content. We're unleashing a brand  new user experience that puts games front and center, That include live gaming as well."

Mr Joyce said YouTube Gaming would provide an area on YouTube fenced off from the rest, so that "typing 'call' will show you [video game] 'Call of Duty' and not [pop song] 'Call Me Maybe'."

Batman: Arkham Knight Sales suspended by Warner Bros Because of Glitches

There are numerous reports on the PC Version of Warner Bros Latest Game Batman:Arkham Knight Reports were mainly of Performance issues, low quality textures and Glitches. Their has been an official announcement on its official forum about the game being suspended from sales due to the troubled PC version and they're saying that they are working on the PC version to address these issues and satisfy quality standards.

" If you've already purchased it you can still play, but in a forum post the team mentioned people can go to Steam or retail locations where they purchased the game for a refund. A couple of days ago, Warner made some suggestions on how users could get the game to run better, but those don't seem to help much. Right now, the game is showing a "Mostly Negative" review status on Steam with 8,700 reviews logged.

This announcement follows 2 days of widespread reports of major performance problems, scathing steam user reviews, and adward updates from RockSteady. While our own tests found Arkham Knight playable but glitchy at 30 FPS on high end Nvidia hardware which is hugely dissapointing state of affairs for a major game. While this does not excuse releasing a game in that condition, it's commendable that rocksteady and Warner Bros have taken this drastic action to rectify their mistakes.

The problem stems from the PC version of Batman:Arkham Knight not being developed by Rocksteady but an external studio, Iron Galaxy which is mentioned in it's game credits but that involvement is still not confirmed by the publisher.

From Warner Bros

Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC owners,

We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. If you purchased your copy of the game and are not satisfied with your experience, then we ask for your patience while these issues are resolved. If desired, you can request a refund at help.steampowered.com (Steam refund policies can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds) or the retail location where you purchased the game.

Console versions

But the story is different on the console versions. The games has received critical acclaim praising its outstanding gameplay variety, strong performances and detailed world.

5G Network To Transmit Data at 20 GB/Sec

International Telecommunication Union unveiled the type of speed 5G will behold. Till now, we thought 4G LTE was fast. After seeing the transmit speed of 5G, 4G is no where near.

It will debut at 2018 Winter Olympics.

The Korea Times described the capability of the 5G network as fast as to  be able to tranmit data up to 20 GB per second. This is insanely fast and will completely change the mobile experience and will move it to a new level. This Supersonic speed will enable to download games and movies just in seconds.

But Phone might be capable of transmitting at speed upto 1 GB per ssecond.

The report on 5G network further states, “The 5G network will also have a capacity to provide more than 100 megabits-per-second average data transmission to over one million Internet of Things devices within 1 square kilometer.” To this perspective, the maximum speed that 4G supports is 150MB per second and not all of the users have an access to this limit.

A lot of effort is being made to make it work. Though it may debut at 2018, commercial launch may be  planned at 2020.

Nokia to soon start making mobiles again

Once, the world's largest manufacturing company plans to start making handsets again once after an agreement with Microsoft allowing it in 2016. "We will look for suitable partners,"Rajeev Suri said in an interview published on Thursday. "Microsoft makes mobile phones. We would simply design them and then make the brand name available to license".

Finland's Nokia sold its phone business to Microsoft in 2014 after years of declining sales. as it failed to keep up with new innovations from other mobile companies.

Nokia in April announced a 15.6 billion-euro ($17.8 billion) takeover of Alcatel-Lucent in a bid to boost the network equipment business that is now its mainstay.

Many analysts expect Microsoft to write off all or part of the $7.2 billion it paid for Nokia's handset unit, a deal that left Microsoft with a money-losing business and only 3 percent of the smartphone market.

Microsoft manager Stephen Elop, whom the U.S. software giant installed as Nokia chief executive for a time, is now leaving Microsoft in a sign the company is turning away from the hardware devices business he headed and back to its cor.e software business
